Job summary

Tilcon New York Inc. in West Nyack, NY is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic for the 2nd shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment used in construction.

You will document work in CMMS, fuel and service equipment safely, perform welding, read manuals and schematics, and follow MSHA safety standards. A high school diploma plus experience with diesel-powered machinery is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems on on- and off-road equipment.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow service manuals and schematics.
• Must be able to cut and weld and perform welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work area daily and record inspections.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and perform housekeeping.
• Accurately document time spent on equipment and enter time in CMMS.
• Fuel equipment safely and operate fueling truck as needed.
• Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and service equipment promptly.
• Order parts and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Work to MSHA standards and report safety concerns.
• Be willing to assist other departments as needed.
