Job summary

Tilcon New York Inc., a CRH company, seeks a Mobile Equipment Mechanic for 2nd shift in West Nyack, NY. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile equipment across our quarry and plant operations.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read manuals, and proficiency in cutting and welding. Expect field work in varied conditions with opportunities for growth within CRH.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, power train and other systems on off-road equipment.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow service, repair, operator, and parts manuals and schematics.
• Must be able to proficiently cut and weld.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work area daily and complete Work Area inspection sheet.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and perform housekeeping as directed by foreman.
• Accurately record time spent on equipment and enter it into the Infield system.
• Efficiently fuel equipment and safely operate the fuel truck.
• Record equipment numbers, fuel used and meter readings.
• Manage work orders in CMMS system.
• Diagnose problems, repair, and service equipment safely and promptly.
• Obtain parts and complete work orders; repair and maintain mobile and ground engaging equipment.
• Learn and apply MSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment and report safety concerns.
