Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced 3G MIG & TIG Welder for 2nd shift in Champaign, Illinois. You will weld on steel, stainless, and aluminum, read blueprints and welding symbols, and fabricate parts for diverse projects in a modern facility.

The role emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork with production and quality teams. Applicants should have at least 3 years MIG and TIG experience, the ability to pass a 3G weld test, and strong mechanical aptitude; sheet metal experience and certifications

Qualifications

Ability to pass a 3G weld test.
Minimum 3 years of MIG welding experience.
Minimum 3 years of TIG welding experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, and Stick welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
Measure, mark, and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly.
Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and specification requirements are met.
Perform fabrication and sheet metal work as required.
Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure project success.
