Job summary

GPAC is seeking a Welder/Fabricator on the 2nd shift in Cook County and Champaign County, IL. This on-site role focuses on precise fit-up, clean welds, and quality workmanship.

You will perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, read blueprints and welding symbols, and verify dimensions with precision tools. AWS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of TIG welding experience, along with MIG and sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and work independently from drawings.
• Strong attention to weld quality, fit-up, and dimensional accuracy.
• Ability to complete a practical weld test.
• AWS certifications preferred.

Hiring experienced Welders/Fabricators for second-shift openings in Cook County and Champaign County, Illinois. Positions are available in either area—applicants do not need to commute between locations.

This is a hands‑on opportunity for welders who take pride in precise fit‑up, clean welds, and quality workmanship.
