Job summary

Hawkeye Metal Spinning is seeking a production operator to manufacture parts on assigned equipment in a fast-paced plant in Iowa. You will follow shop travelers, inspect parts, and maintain accurate production records in the ERP system.

Responsibilities include unloading/packing, following blueprints, and communicating issues to quality control and supervision. The role emphasizes safety, 5S practices, and ongoing documentation and training.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and be trained on the Hawkeye Metal Spinning manufacturing process.
• General skills with hand and power tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Check with the designated lead person on the job assignment.
• Produce parts on assigned equipment according to specifications and within production requirements.
• Unload and package parts according to Hawkeye Metal Spinning standards and customer requirements.
• Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts ran, and scrap) in the ERP system.
• Follow instructions from Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints.
• Inform quality control and shift supervisor/lead of any problems with parts.
• Perform inspections under the Quality Manual and maintain documentation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and report abnormal conditions to maintenance or supervisor.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow 5S procedures.
• Comply with PPE and safety policies; adhere to safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
