Job summary

Stellar Energy is seeking a Mechanical Pipe Fitter for second shift at our Jacksonville, FL facility. The role focuses on installing and assembling complex piping systems in a fabrication environment, with emphasis on measurement accuracy, blueprint literacy, and adherence to safety standards.

Candidates should have at least 6 years of pipefitting experience, knowledge of datum lining, and proficiency with valves, pumps, and related components.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, and gas arc cutting.
• Fluent in hydro testing for 150 PSI and inspections.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in Pipefitting.
• Knowledge of datum lining, piping center lines and work points.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math and tape measuring skills.
• Physically/medically qualified to wear PPE and work in varied conditions.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Understand job specs, blueprint readings, and torque requirements for large piping systems.
• Use datum lining and piping center lines to locate work points.
• Install valves, suction diffusers, guides, circuit setters, expansion tanks, pumps, chillers, air vents, regulators to complete piping.
• Install piping system hangers and supports from temporary to final.
• Maintain quality, safety and health compliance.
• Document quality reporting per SEA standards.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts with safe rigging.
• Direct and monitor two or more helpers.
• Follow policies and wear PPE per OSHA requirements.
• Be fluent in hydro process for 150 PSI testing and inspections.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and audits.
