Job summary

Stellar Energy in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Technician to support piping installations and mechanical assembly in a busy fabrication facility.

You will read blueprints, measure, set equipment, install valves and pumps, and ensure safety and quality standards. This full-time, hourly role reports to the Superintendent and requires basic math, mechanical aptitude, and 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Basic math and language skills are required.
• Knowledge of Threading, grinding, beveling, welding, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
• A minimum of 1-2 years related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Understand job specifications, blueprint reading, target point measurements and torque requirements for large industrial piping systems.
• Handle equipment/ piping center lines and work points.
• Install valves, suction diffusers, guides, circuit setters, expansion tanks, pumps, chillers, and related components to form a complete piping system.
• Understand piping system hangers, supports, braces, etc., from temporary to final installation.
• Maintain safety, quality, and health standards while completing daily tasks.
• Document quality reporting per SEA Quality Standards.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and direct two or more helpers.
• Comply with company policies and OSHA PPE requirements.
• Familiar with pneumatic and hydro testing (150 psi) and related safety procedures.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
