Job summary

Stellar Energy Americas Inc. is seeking a 2nd Class Mechanical Fitter to support fabrication facility piping installations in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, blueprint reading, and piping installation methods.

You will handle valves, pumps, tanks, and related components, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and OSHA standards while coordinating with the supervisor and team. This position is on-site with potential local travel.

Qualifications

• Basic math and language skills are required.
• Knowledge of Threading, grinding, beveling, welding, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
• A minimum of 1-2 years related experience or training.
• Preferred: 3-5 years related experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Basic in understanding job specification, blueprint reading, target point measurements and torque requirements for large industrial piping systems.
• Hands-on, basic working knowledge of Equipment/Piping center lines and work points.
• Basic proficiency in the installation of various valves, suction diffusers, guides, circuit setters, expansion tanks, pumps, chillers, automatic air vents, pressure regulators, etc.
• Moderate mechanical aptitude and problem solver who can understand and follow instruction.
• Accountability for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety and health regulations.
• Documentation of all quality reporting methods employed by SEA Quality Standards
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts, while adhering to industry standard practices of safe rigging systems and techniques.
