Job summary

CertainTeed is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead mechanical maintenance activities in the plant. You will supervise skilled maintenance staff, drive PM programs, and ensure compliance with EH&S standards while championing safety and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing supervision, strong hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and experience with PM tracking systems and SAP/UKG when coordinating maintenance work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics and fluid power.
• High level knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tracking systems.
• Technical diploma in mechanical engineering/manufacturing or equivalent experience.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent training (preferred).
• Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S and Six Sigma.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with UKG/Workday and SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe maintenance activities and enforcing safety procedures.
• Directly supervise hourly skilled mechanical maintenance staff and projects.
• Organize planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee training and development of maintenance personnel.
• Identify development opportunities for the team and provide coaching.
• Create and manage work orders, notifications, and purchase requisitions in the CMMS.
• Support PM development to improve equipment reliability and record-keeping.
