Job summary

Technique is seeking a Material Handler to join our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will move materials, stage at work centers, receive shipments, and maintain inventory to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of material handling or warehouse experience, a forklift license or ability to obtain certification, and comfort with ERP/inventory systems. This is a 2nd shift role with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift (hi-lo) license required or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move materials – Load, unload, and move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts.
• Stage raw materials and components at work centers according to production schedules and job travelers.
• Receive incoming shipments – verify counts against packing lists and purchase orders, inspect materials for damage.
• Maintain inventory accuracy – perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and location updates in the ERP system.
• Prepare outbound shipments – pick, pack, label, and stage finished goods for shipment per customer and carrier requirements.
• Maintain documentation – maintain accurate documentation for material movements, receipts, and shipments.
• Keep work areas safe and organized – maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse, staging, and shipping areas.
• Support production teams – communicate material shortages or discrepancies to supervision.
• Other duties as assigned – by the Materials Manager.
