Manpower, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler for a local manufacturing client in Traverse City, Michigan. The role supports Receiving and Warehouse operations to keep materials moving safely and accurately, with a focus on attention to detail and independent work habits.

You will read work orders, verify part numbers, inspect shipments, operate lift trucks safely, and document inventory using digital systems. This position requires a valid forklift background and a pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
• Ability to work independently while following procedures and completing paperwork.
• Strong knowledge of receiving, warehouse, and material handling operations.
• Computer skills to read work orders and document inventory.
• Pre-employment drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders via on-board computer and determine which materials to move.
• Verify part numbers, inspect shipments, and follow ISO procedures as needed.
• Load/unload materials from trucks, pallets, and racks using safe methods.
• Scan labels to support accurate tracking and inventory control.
• Operate lift trucks and other equipment safely and efficiently.
