Job summary

Sonoco Products Co. is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift (10a-6p) in Hartselle, AL. The role focuses on moving and organizing raw materials and finished reels, coordinating with production, shipping and inventory teams to ensure efficient and safe material flow.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior material handling experience, and a strong attention to detail. Overtime may be required; forklift operation is a key responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport wood components and finished reels using forklifts and other equipment.
• Collaborate with production and shipping teams to ensure material flow and on-time delivery.
• Maintain clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
• Accurately document quantities loaded or unloaded.
• Conduct daily inspection of material handling equipment.
• Work overtime as needed.
