Job summary

O'Neal Steel has an opening for a 2nd shift Loader at our Little Rock, AR facility. The Loader will load and unload material within a warehouse using forklifts, cranes and other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains.

Responsibilities include loading duties, safety compliance, and learning product knowledge. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test; shift is 4pm-12am, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment.
• Must show critical thinking skills for planning and problem-solving.
• Ability to safely load multi-stop loads for customer delivery.
• Understand load balancing to meet DOT weight regulations for legal and over dimensional loads.
• Verify accuracy of material, quantity, packaging and other instructions for each order.

Responsibilities

• Performs loading duties 70% of the time or greater.
• Use a variety of hand tools to assist in loading and securing material.
• Learn and retain product knowledge, handling and rigging procedures across products.
• Accurately read a tape measure and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Adhere to established safety procedures and work on 2nd shift (4pm-12am, Mon-Fri) with overtime as needed.
