Job summary

O'Neal Steel is hiring a 2nd shift Loader for the Little Rock, AR facility. The role focuses on loading/unloading material in a warehouse, operating equipment like forklifts and cranes, and moving loads to trucks or trains while ensuring accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, reading measurements, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. A strong understanding of rigging and material handling is required for efficient operations and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Must show critical thinking skills for planning and problem-solving.
• Ability to safely load multi-stop loads for customer delivery.
• Must understand load balancing to meet DOT weight regulations for legal and over-dimensional loads.
• Verify accuracy of material, quantity, packaging and special instructions for each order.
• Performs loading duties 70%+ of the time and uses a range of hand tools.

Responsibilities
