Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO is seeking a second-shift forklift operator to support our metal assembly production. You will drive a forklift, move pallets, and stock materials to keep production flowing and on schedule.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, participating in audits and continuous improvement, and assisting with inventory. Candidates should have a High School diploma and be able to work 12-hour days including weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and move materials safely.
• Observe safety, environmental, regulatory requirements.
• Participate in independent objective auditing activities and support continuous improvement.
• Move loads and stack materials within the plant efficiently and safely.
• Inventory materials and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tank.
