Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a reliable Material Handler for the Kansas City, MO plant. The role focuses on safe forklift operation, accurate inventory, and timely material delivery to production lines.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read and follow work instructions. Shift is 3:00PM–11:30PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Previous forklift driving experience preferred.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift, 3:00PM-11:30PM, Mon-Fri.
• Ability to work up to 12 hours per day including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Participate in scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.
• Participate in independent objective auditing activities and support continuous improvement.
• Move levers and pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting devices.
• Position forks and loading devices to load/unload pallets and materials.
• Unload and stack material; move material within the plant as required.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Maintain knowledge and skills to perform job effectively.
• Rotate through job responsibilities to support plant flow.
