Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CNC operation experience of at least 2 years.
• Experience with machining glass materials is desired.
• Must be able to write procedures and read complex manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment to drill and machine fiber optic preforms.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the equipment.
• Inspect quality of work output against drawings and specifications.

Skills

CNC operation experience

In-depth knowledge of machine tools

Ability to read blueprints

Troubleshooting equipment

Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate Degree in Engineering discipline
