Job summary

Fortive's Fabrication department seeks a CNC Machinist to set up and run CNC diamond turning machines, producing high-precision optical components. You will work from drawings, collect data, and ensure quality using metrology tools.

Requires 5+ years of machining experience, reading proficiency in English, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. The role is on-site in New Hampshire with first or second shift options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant machining production experience.
• Must read, speak and understand English written instruction and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work from engineering drawings and process work instructions.
• Set up, operate and maintain CNC diamond turning machines.
• Collect, analyze, and report data for production processes requiring basic math and statistical knowledge.
• Manually clean optical surfaces using wipes and solvents.
• Utilize metrology equipment to verify conformance of optical components to high precision specifications.
