Job summary

Oatey is seeking an Assembly Technician in Shakopee, MN. You will perform assembly duties for various products and follow SOPs, while aligning with daily production schedules in our manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 1–2 years in manufacturing, plus basic math, good communication, blueprint reading, and precise measuring skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a strong total rewards program.

Position Summary:

Demonstrates proficiency and regularly performs assembly duties for large, small, and long test balls, municipal balls, tubes and inserts, rubber cutters, PET Foam, wall drains, PVC drains, kitting, drain kit packaging, or other specialty products.

Position Responsibilities:

Knowledge and Experience:

• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints or ability and willingness to learn.
• Accuracy in measuring.
Decision-making skills.
• One (1) to two (2) years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Education and Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation Range for the Position:

Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
