Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Repair and Maintenance Supervisor II in Detroit, MI. You will lead a team of Skilled Trades to maintain heavy duty machining equipment and drive reliability across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities include supervising electricians, pipefitters, machinists, welders and toolmakers; coordinating repairs; ensuring safety; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives with operations and quality teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing/machine shop environment.
• Knowledge of safety codes and standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and OEM documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Skilled Trades (Electricians, Pipefitters, Machine Repairmen, Millwrights, Welders and Toolmakers).
• Coordinate manpower and materials for machine breakdown repairs across shifts.
• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks and follow up on MTTR/MTBF improvements.
• Support safety, Lean/CI initiatives and labor relations adherence.
