Job summary
HYDAC International in Schaumburg is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our 2nd shift. You will design, implement, and optimize production processes to support New Product Introduction and smooth transfer of new products to manufacturing.
You will troubleshoot on the shop floor, collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams, and drive cost reductions, productivity gains, and quality improvements through structured problem solving and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience in a production environment preferred.
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and process development is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively with production personnel and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and commission manufacturing processes for NPI.
- Provide hands-on engineering support to the shop floor and troubleshoot issues.
- Optimize processes to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.
- Identify cost-reduction and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate project planning and execution across teams.
- Maintain engineering documentation and records.
- Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.
