Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift (2 PM - 10:30 PM, M-F) at the Holland, MI plant. You will develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes, lead lean initiatives, and coordinate production launches for new or revised products.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Engineering, have automated assembly and cell layout experience, and are proficient with AutoCAD and Plexus. Strong problem solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with automated assembly, cell layouts, and lean manufacturing.
• Strong problem solving and process improvement capabilities.
• Familiarity with GD&T and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow and equipment.
• Coordinate manufacturing launch of new or revised products and train team members.
• Create and maintain layouts for buildings and equipment; cost-justify tooling.
