Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing, an employee-owned tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a 2nd shift (2 PM - 10:30 PM, Mon-Fri) at our Holland, MI facility. You will develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes, coordinate launches, and drive lean improvements across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Engineering with hands-on experience in automated assembly, BIW concepts, and sheet metal work, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with demonstrated technical knowledge.
• Experience with automated assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with BIW concepts and sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Research, design and develop manufacturing processes, including activity flow and equipment.
• Prepare layouts of buildings and equipment; maintain detailed job elements and standard work sheets.
• Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products; train teams and evaluate outcomes.
• Cost-justify tools, machinery and equipment for proposed manufacturing methods.
• Lead lean initiatives, participate in cross-functional teams and drive productivity improvements.
