Job summary

Emerald Technologies is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in Brea, CA to keep SMT equipment and production facilities running safely and reliably. You will service SMT machines, troubleshoot facility systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and HAZMAT handling standards.

The role supports high-reliability electronics manufacturing for OEM customers, with a collaborative, hands-on team environment and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Experience servicing SMT machines or electronics manufacturing equipment is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs in facilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA safety regulations and proper handling of HAZMAT materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on SMT machines and PCB assembly equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues across production and building systems.
• Assist with installation, setup, calibration, and integration of new SMT and manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and facility systems.
• Perform basic facility maintenance including electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
• Safely handle, label, store, and dispose of HAZMAT waste per OSHA/EPA and local regulations.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and vendors to resolve equipment issues and support improvements.
