Xlr8 Ems in San Clemente, CA seeks an SMT Operator I to set up, operate, and troubleshoot SMT equipment including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, SPI and AOI. You will verify BOMs and drawings, perform feeder setup, and support first article inspections.

The role requires good communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment, and collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance. Training will be provided for candidates with related experience.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Contract manufacturing experience is a plus with training provided.
• Experience with SMT components and package sizes.
• Ability to read BOMs and assembly drawings.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder preferred.

Aufgaben

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot SMT equipment (printers, pick-and-place, reflow, SPI, AOI).
• Perform machine changeovers and feeder setup.
• Conduct offline feeder/cart setup and teardown.
• Verify component placement and polarity before production.
• Interpret BOMs, drawings, and setup sheets.
• Monitor for defects and take corrective action.
• Assist with first article inspections and process validation.
• Maintain production and quality documentation.
• Train SMT Operator I team members.
• Follow safety and quality procedures; work overtime as needed.
