Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift in Jackson, Georgia, to keep plant equipment running through preventative maintenance, repairs and continuous improvements. You will diagnose issues, perform installs and coordinate with other maintenance staff.

Responsibilities include working with PLCs, HMIs and electrical components; interpreting schematics; and ensuring safe operation up to 480V. Shift hours start 4pm–2am, with a future move to 2pm–10pm, and pay is $29–$34 hourly.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, drives, HMIs and other electrical components.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Electrical fundamentals required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment.
• Assist in implementing new equipment and improvements.
• Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Coordinate updates with off-shift maintenance and peers.
• Provide thorough follow-through on repairs with internal customers.
