Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Jackson, Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift to maintain and improve plant equipment through preventive maintenance, repairs and continuous improvement.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs and electrical systems to keep production running safely and efficiently. The role covers troubleshooting, wiring and instrumentation, coordinating with shift staff, and implementing equipment improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, HMIs and other electrical components.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of all equipment to ensure smooth production.
• Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Assist in implementing new equipment and equipment improvements.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and line workers to resolve issues.
