Job summary

newpig is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) at our Duncansville and Altoona facilities. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include working with CMMS, installing electrical and control systems, supporting lean manufacturing, and ensuring uptime to meet production schedules. Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and power systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in a production maintenance environment.
• Motor drive and PLC tech level experience; certifications a plus.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) and industrial power systems.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic power systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with various hand and maintenance shop tools.
• Ability to read design drawings for fabrication.
• Ability to read CAD drawings – mechanical / electrical.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and fractions.
• MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to seek out training and/or certifications.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to a safe, proper working condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment at multiple locations.
• Interact with CMMS via PMs, repairs and reporting information into the system.
• Support multi-shift production to achieve output, quality and financial goals.
• Ensure machine uptimes meet production schedules.
• Install, maintain electrical equipment and associated controls.
• Install power distribution including sub panels and wiring.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and machine control systems.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives on projects.
