Job summary

Home Run Inn in Woodridge, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our 2nd shift at the Woodridge Frozen Plant. You will perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and packaging machinery to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

You'll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read blueprints, and partner with Production and Quality teams to ensure food safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related maintenance experience with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to the component level.
• Strong understanding of high- and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and basic electrical wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to use a variety of maintenance tools and a personal computer.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and regularly stand, bend, twist, and stoop.
• Ability to work in a food manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to work 2nd shift, with flexibility to support other shifts or emergency maintenance needs when necessary.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and determine effective solutions.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance calls during production.
• Disassemble, rebuild, repair, and replace defective parts and components as needed.
• Make final equipment adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operation.
