Job summary

Silva International in Momence, IL, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on plant production machinery, building, and equipment. The role includes preventative maintenance and limited down time, with a 2nd shift schedule of 3:30pm–1:00am and rotating Saturdays.

Qualified candidates will have 5 years of maintenance experience, hands-on mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 5 years of production equipment maintenance experience.
• Extensive mechanical and electrical training.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
• Support the preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime.
• Analyze problems using technical information to complete repairs.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment.
• Ensure safety per GMP, FDA, OSHA and company policies.
• Complete work orders and document work performed.
