Job summary

Silva International, a subsidiary of Universal Ingredients, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Momence, IL. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance on plant production machinery, building, and equipment.

Hours are typically 3:30pm-1:00am, Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Requires 5 years of maintenance experience and hands-on mechanical and electrical training.

Qualifications

• 5 years of production equipment maintenance experience.
• Extended mechanical and electrical training and experience.
• Organizational, interpersonal, communications, analytical and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment and facilities.
• Support the PM program to reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Analyze problems and interpret technical information to make repairs.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Follow GMP, FDA and OSHA safety standards.
• Complete work orders and maintain logs and cross-department communication.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and line startups.
• Identify parts and reorder as needed.
• Maintain safe, high-performing equipment.
