Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3-11 PM) in Beloit, WI. You will install, maintain and repair equipment used to produce corrugated board and packaging products, with a focus on preventative maintenance and safe operation.

Applicants should have electrical and mechanical experience, ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with a variety of tools and trades. Pratt offers strong benefits, tuition reimbursement, and paid holidays from day one.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical experience in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings.
• Experience with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures in industrial settings.
• Capable of applying general maintenance and repair principles.
• Basic PC skills for data entry and diagnostics.
• Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
• Experience across multiple skilled-trades areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair machines and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, conveyors and hydraulic systems.
• Interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and drawings.
• Mount electrical components (drives, PLCs, transformers, relays).
• Perform wiring, crimps, soldering and connections for assemblies.
• Respond to maintenance needs to ensure production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report hazards.
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
