Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and optimize corrugated equipment to minimize downtime. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of maintenance experience, and electrical and mechanical skills.

Preference given to candidates with corrugated industry experience. Primary duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, bearing and belt work, and using welding and maintenance software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Electrical and mechanical experience.
• Preferred: prior corrugated industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply safe working practices and preventive maintenance principles.
• Maintain and optimize equipment performance by troubleshooting and repair.
• Correctly diagnose mechanical faults and plan a course of action.
• Understand power transmission systems; install & align shafts, belts, chains & couplings.
• Correctly remove and refit various bearings; identify bearing types and defects.
• Recognize stripped threads and use thread repair equipment.
• Manufacture gaskets and replace seals and packing.
• Understand gearboxes (helical, spur, worm) and drive belts.
• Dismantle and replace drive belts and track conveyors.
• Use welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) as appropriate.
• Utilize maintenance software (i-maintenance) and report findings promptly.
• Take part in daily preventive maintenance and wastewater treatment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership and work well in a team.
