Job summary

Scot Forge Company in Franklin Park, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician - Mechanic to support our manufacturing operations on the 2nd shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical production equipment used to forge components for demanding industries.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and perform fabrication or torch work as needed to keep equipment running and safe.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of industrial or plant maintenance experience.
Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC‑controlled equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three‑phase power.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 60 feet.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose equipment issues and replace or repair defective components.
Work with wiring diagrams, schematics, and industrial electrical systems.
Perform fabrication, welding, and torch work as needed.
Support equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.
