Job summary
Scot Forge is seeking an Electrician / Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations in Illinois. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and industrial equipment across the facility, reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical docs, and contributing to reliability and continuous improvement.
You will work with voltages including 120V, 208V, 480V, and 4160V, with safety and codes compliance as top priorities.
Qualifications
- Minimum four years of industrial electrical experience
- Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams
- Experience with PLC-controlled systems
- Experience with electrical wiring and conduit installation
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Install conduit, pull wire, and perform electrical construction and upgrades
- Troubleshoot motors, control systems, MCCs, VFDs, soft starts, and related equipment
- Test and diagnose electrical systems using industry-standard equipment
- Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Promote a safe and efficient manufacturing environment
