Job summary

Southern Champion Tray (SCT) seeks a Class A Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift (4 days/10 hours) to support production. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, piping, and electrical systems to maximize uptime and asset life.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, reads blueprints, and can work safely in a fast-paced plant environment, with strong English communication and teamwork to support Supervisors and Operators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of related manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Must be able to read and work with mechanical blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; maintenance of utility systems (electrical, water, air, HVAC).
• Must read and understand English documents and communicate directions in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, piping, and minor electrical/electronic systems.
• Dismantle, repair or replace defective parts and components.
• Schedule work to maximize task completion with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with Plant Supervisors and Operators to address issues and provide support.
• Keep equipment and tools organized; perform housekeeping and 5S practices.
