Job Description

The Sewing Maintenance Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated sewing equipment on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine operation, including wear & tear of moving parts
• Troubleshoot and repair all equipment as necessary
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and other support functions
• Provide operating instructions to operators based on observations
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Document safety, quality, and maintenance information
• Ensure safety and quality are compliant with company policy

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with industrial sewing equipment preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
• Basic math skills
• Lifting (light & heavy – up to 75 lbs.)
• Manual dexterity of both hands and feet for activities such as carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, standing, crawling, reaching, and handling while wearing proper PPE
• Good eyesight (acuity far and near, depth perception, field of vision, color vision)
• Reading, writing, counting, measuring skills
• Ability to work in heat and cold environments
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Working in confined spaces
