Job summary

Welch Packaging Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Specialist to support production by maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and minimizing downtime to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Corrugated packaging experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order.
• Perform on-call emergency repairs and breakdown investigations.
• Lead root-cause analysis for mechanical issues with operators and maintenance team.
• Execute plans for improvement of machine safety and housekeeping.
• Carry out preventive maintenance with field crews.
• Troubleshoot with operators to determine root cause of issues.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to resolve safety concerns.
• Maintain organization and inventory of maintenance shop and tools.
