Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to support our production operations by keeping manufacturing equipment in optimal condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and repair production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance with a focus on electrical systems, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to workplace safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Electrical certification preferred.
• Corrugated packaging industry experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Must be able to use shop tools and equipment.
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment.
• On-call emergency repairs.
• Take control of breakdowns.
• Plan for continued improvement of machine safety and housekeeping.
• Work with crews to complete all preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with machine operators to troubleshoot and determine root causes.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectively.
• Work with Maintenance Manager to resolve safety concerns.
• Maintain organization/inventory of maintenance shop and tools.
• Duties may vary by location.
