Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM) to support production operations. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

A strong background in industrial maintenance and a proactive, safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Electrical certification preferred.
Corrugated packaging industry a plus.
Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Fully computer literate with Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order.
On-call emergency repairs.
Respond to breakdowns and take control of issues.
Perform preventative maintenance with maintenance crews.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machine operators.
Work with Maintenance Manager to resolve safety concerns and improve housekeeping.
