Randstad USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Jacksonville, FL. This Direct Hire role offers a path to technical advancement on high-tech, proprietary equipment with strong benefits and career growth.

You will diagnose, repair, and optimize complex systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, while performing high-speed changeovers and preventive maintenance. Requires 5 years of experience and a high school education.

Qualifications

• Outstanding diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with 480V electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair proprietary machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine change overs, as required by production.

• Work with Engineering on machinery and equipment issues.
• Perform and document machine and equipment preventive maintenance.
• Electrical, plumbing and facility maintenance as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

The Package

How You’ll Own the Floor

• Engineer & Innovate: Fabricate, modify, and rebuild precision machinery parts and custom molds.


• Partner with Engineering: Tackle complex equipment puzzles, execute tech retrofits, and optimize proprietary machinery.


• Master High-Speed Tech: Perform high-precision machine changeovers to keep advanced production moving.


• Full-Spectrum Diagnostics: Combine mechanical skill with 480V electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

What You Need

Responsibilities

• Perform daily machine change overs, as required by production.


• Fabricate, modify, build and re-build machinery and equipment parts and molds to ensure proper and efficient operation.


• Operate small equipment (forklifts and man lifts).


• Inventory assistnace.


• Work withEngineering on machinery and equipment issues.


• Special projects as required.


• Perform and document machine and equipment Preventive Maintenance.


• Perform electrical, plumbing and facility maintenance, as required.


• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.


• PLC knowledge – hands‑on experience with PLC a must and troubleshooting ability using software.


• Electrical knowledge – 480-volt AC, 3 phase experience, plus 120-volt AC experience, plus 24-volt AC/DC experience, and use of digital volt meter.


• Manufacturing electrical and mechanical experience.


• Pneumatic controls and actuator experience.


• Servo experience (this is more exposure and understanding, more intricate knowledge is definitely a bonus).


• Familiar and ability to use basic shop and hand tool equipment, i.e., drills, bandsaws, grinders – (milling machine and lathe are a plus).


• Welding experience is a bonus.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment


• manual lifting up to 50lbs


• standing for 8 hours at one time


• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
