Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, install and repair machinery, and support overall plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
- Install electrical components in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
- Install conduit and pull wiring through conduit systems.
- Repair and maintain electrical equipment.
- Test wiring and electrical systems using volt/ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
- Lubricate, clean, and maintain machinery and equipment.
- Observe equipment performance to identify operational issues.
- Disassemble equipment to inspect and replace defective components.
- Examine parts for wear, damage, and dimensional changes.
- Adjust and repair functional components and control instruments.
- Install replacement and specialty components as required.
- Operate machine tools including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Initiate purchase orders for replacement parts and equipment.
- Utilize brazing and welding equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with:
- Intermediate Electrical Systems
- PLC Troubleshooting
- Preventive Maintenance
- Mechanical Diagnostics
- Power Transmission Systems
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundry experience.
- Experience with brazing and welding equipment.
- Experience operating machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
- Leadership mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues.
- Industrial manufacturing environment.
- Regular exposure to mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Required to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Regular use of hands and arms for handling tools and equipment.
- Lift and move:
- Up to 25 lbs regularly
- Up to 50 lbs frequently
- Up to 90 lbs occasionally
- Ability to meet vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perception.
