Job Description

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as CNC mills, lathes, and grinders, as well as test equipment including shock and vibe testers. The technician will also repair and rebuild pumps (water and vacuum) and have knowledge of environmental test chambers, water towers, heat exchangers, and air conditioning systems.

The responsibilities include providing routine technical support to engineers and scientists on components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment. The role may also involve testing, modifying, reworking, repairing, and building electronic, optical, or mechanical assemblies, working from standard wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches.

The technician will design and test prototype assemblies and production units, perform related manufacturing processes, and interpret and follow SOPs and safety rules. Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements is essential, along with interfacing with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.

Key performance indicators include meeting production deadlines, maintaining quality of finished products, managing raw material stock levels, and ensuring compliance outcomes. The position requires the ability to coordinate multiple activities, adapt to changing conditions, and read or develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications.

The role also involves supporting and reinforcing the organization's mission, values, and culture.

Qualifications

• Strong decision-making and leadership skills

• Experience in the safe handling of chemicals
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Access, Excel, and LabVIEW
