Job summary

An established industry player is looking for a dedicated Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to enhance pharmacy operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure accurate entry of prescriptions while providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will work during the 2nd shift, from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. Remedi SeniorCare is seeking a dynamic Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team and make a difference in the lives of residents in long-term care facilities. You will work remotely and may support one of our Pharmacies in a different state.

Schedule: 2nd shift: 3 pm – 11:30 pm
Monday - Friday, rotating holidays and weekends

Key Responsibilities:

As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician with Remedi SeniorCare, you'll play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include swiftly and accurately entering prescriptions into our Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system. Additionally, you'll communicate with customers over the phone, providing quick and courteous responses to their needs.

Under the guidance of a pharmacist and in compliance with State law, Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for:

  • Efficient order entry and follow-up
  • Ensuring accurate and timely prescription/patient information input
  • Collaborating with Order Entry leadership to meet department goals
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Working with urgency and timeliness

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy is preferred, but not required (good standing)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge
  • Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations
  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
