Job summary
Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech C-2 for a 2nd shift to support safe, reliable operation of production equipment.
You will perform hands-on maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and assist senior technicians while learning reliability and maintenance practices within a team environment. Qualifications include 1–2 years in industrial maintenance, basic mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with CMMS.
Qualifications
- Foundational experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and good documentation practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain mechanical systems such as bearings, belts, chains, pulleys, shafts, motors, and gearboxes.
- Support conveyance systems, pumps, valves, and utility systems (steam, air, water).
- Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance to ensure safe, continuous operation.
- Identify and resolve common mechanical issues impacting safety, quality, or production.
- Document and communicate issues, root causes, and corrective actions to maintenance and operations teams.
