Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2pm-10:30pm) at Perry Rd, Indiana. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read schematics, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include conducting emergency repairs, maintaining logs, sourcing parts, and collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work at elevated heights and operate aerial lift equipment.
• Strong problem solving and maintenance skills; able to read and apply manuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; a true team player.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues/equipment.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on machines, tools, and building systems (HVAC, electrical, automation, plumbing).
• Perform repairs involving power transmission components, electrical control panels and PLC components.
• Maintain safety and appearance of the building, including painting, lighting, and groundskeeping.
• Communicate equipment status and repair timelines to peers and leadership.
• Read and apply blueprints, schematics, and manuals to understand system operations.
• Basic PLC ladder logic understanding for job functions.
• Perform scheduled and emergency repairs, including equipment upgrades and adapting new production equipment.
• Replace worn parts, disassemble/reassemble equipment and test function.
• Maintain detailed repair logs and performance data using maintenance software.
• Utilize resources for troubleshooting and parts sourcing; manage spare parts inventory.
• Assist with pump house and fire door testing, rack and battery room repairs.
• Follow safety protocols including LOTO, chemical control, inventory and Arc Flash.
• Provide after-hours or weekend emergency repair services.
• Other duties as assigned.
