Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician in South Bend, IN, on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM). Pay rate is $32.00 per hour.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to keep systems running safely and efficiently. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or equivalent apprenticeship in industrial electronics/maintenance and 3-5 years of plant maintenance experience, including PLC and CMMS/SAP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
• Completion of an approved industrial electrical maintenance apprenticeship preferred.
• 3-5 years of plant maintenance experience required.
• Industrial control wiring experience required.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC and solid-state control systems.
• Experience working with AC/DC drives and process controllers.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and utility systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI, and network-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders in the CMMS system.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to diagnose equipment failures.
• Repair motors, drives, sprockets, chains, belts, pulleys, bearings, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and maintain wastewater, hydraulic, pneumatic, and boiler systems.
• Perform root cause failure analysis on equipment breakdowns.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and production support.
• Train employees on identifying and resolving basic mechanical issues.
• Complete maintenance logs and maintain compliance with maintenance standards.
• Support HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
