Job summary

freshexpress is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely maintain and repair processing, packaging and facility equipment. You will work on FR systems, IW controls and related systems, and support chemical handling and training activities.

The role requires experience in industrial maintenance, basic electrical skills, and ability to read schematics. Strong teamwork, data entry, and computer literacy are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Must work effectively in a team setting.
• Must demonstrate basic cross-training ability.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to use CMMS to track work orders, PMs and inventory.
• Achieve a passing score on Ramsey exam.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMMS system and log work orders and corrective maintenance.
• Communicate with Production and other mechanics to identify issues and resolve them.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic mechanical tasks; repair at least 40% without direction.
• Perform electrical repairs including AC/DC motor controls and test equipment.
• Read schematics, drawings and manuals to establish facts and conclusions.
• Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Align daily work with productivity, yields, food safety, quality and cost goals.
• Perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Model professional conduct and adhere to company policies.
