Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Production Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (6pm-6:30am) to perform preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Reports to the Maintenance supervisor and collaborates with maintenance/engineering, operations and plant management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong mechanical, maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to read electrical drawings and schematics for basic circuits.
• Knowledge of Food Production Equipment and safety standards (LOTO/Confined Space).

Responsibilities

• Always work in a safety conscious manner.
• Assist in cross training of Maintenance Team.
• Preflight systems to ensure efficient startups.
• Implement approved improvements to reduce downtime and costs.
• Complete cost-effective repairs in a timely manner.
• Interpret engineering drawings and plant maintenance procedures.
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to GMP and safety policies.
• Enter data into the CMMS accurately and complete work orders promptly.
• Assist in organizing training programs to improve efficiency.
