Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at the Carthage, MO plant. The role involves monitoring, repairing and maintaining production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting startup testing.

The candidate will work with the maintenance team to prevent downtime and ensure GMP/SOP compliance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, assisting with line startup, and performing facilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears and bearings.
• Previous Refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with coworkers and managers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain processing equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Inspect for potential problems and prevent component failure.
• Monitor machinery to minimize downtime and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate to schedule routine and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with line startup and equipment adjustments.
• Perform building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Work safely and promote a safe work environment.
• Weld and fabricate machinery as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
